Bayside Co-op Preschool Parent Participation Agreement
BCP is based on the Co-op model of “many hands make light work.” We are pleased to provide a safe community for our families and children to flourish. We hope you find this village a wonderful place to raise your child!
Each family must provide a parent or alternate caregiver to complete each of these participation requirements:
Attend September Orientation for your class.
Be familiar with the Family Handbook and Policies (published on the website).
Attend two parent education meetings.
Participate in the classroom as a scheduled working parent (usually 1-2 times per month).
a) For Toddlers: Arrive 15 minutes early to assist with setup, and stay 15 minutes after class to help with clean-up.
b) For 3-5 Preschool: Arrive 20 minutes early to assist with setting up the classroom, and helping with meal prep. Plan to stay 20 minutes after class to help with clean-up, although we do our best to shorten the stay after class.
c.) Arrange for a substitute when you are unable to work. If you need to trade working days, email your class to see who is available. If no one is available to cover your shift, contact your teacher, because the class may have to be canceled due to required adult/child ratios and insurance coverage.
d) Follow the illness guidelines in your orientation packet. Keep your child home if they are sick. Please find childcare for siblings when you are a working parent.
Participate in one Parent Job listed on the website in the Family Handbook.
Parents and caregivers must pass a thorough Background Check to work in the classroom. Only people who can be trusted to work with children will be allowed to work in the classroom.
All Bayside Co-op Preschool families are required to participate in fundraising for the school. Each family is responsible for the amount of $250.
Pay yearly or monthly tuition on time. Tuition is due on the 1st of each month, and late after the 5th. A $25 late fee applies after the 5th and is strictly enforced. Tuition is due to whether or not your child is able to attend classes. A student may not attend class when there is delinquency in payment. A $30 fee will be charged for any returned checks.
Refund And Withdrawal Policy
Mail or email written notification of withdrawal is required with one month’s notice, starting on the first of the month, and due at the time of your tuition payment. For example, you make payment and notification for withdrawal on February 1st. Your student attends through the month of February. Make a notification to the teacher.
11.) IN NO CASE WILL THE REGISTRATION FEE OR SUPPLY FEE BE REFUNDED OR TRANSFERRED TO THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. NO EXCEPTIONS.
